Five marvelous days in the forest and six nights at Forest Hideaway. Lots of walking but there was no problem. I practiced two weeks by trekking in the Annapurna region. But here was warmer!

Ganesh had all the knowledge I could have dreamt about and he was willing to share it all. In the meantime, he practiced bird photography so well I needed not to chase the birds myself. All the staff here showed me the most pleasant side of Nepalese people. I will never forget this week.

Really enjoyed my stay, especially as on my first day here I saw three separate tigers. On the following day I also saw numerous other animals and really loved the peace and tranquility of the park. I would also recommend to others to stay at Forest  Hideaway.  Thank you!

At the end of my holiday, one month of trekking through Nepal. I decided to stay in Forest Hideaway. This was very good decision, the place is very relaxing and comfortable, peaceful and serene. Although I didn’t spot any tiger, I enjoyed the surroundings of park, as well as the tharu villages which is also wonderful environment. Staff is very friendly and helpful and I was very lucky with my guide padam for 3 full days. Thank you for the wonderful last days. Thank you for these wonderful last days of my vacation.

I have had the best time relaxing in the hammocks, listening to jungle sounds. Oh and there were animals too! I’ve seen plenty of rhinos, monkeys and two tiny tigers even though! Found those strange animals, most interesting hearing together in random places, staring vigorously at patches of green leaves or riverbanks, big black binoculars dangling around the guide’s neck. Thank you Ganesh for guiding me all around the jungle, telling me about nature and listening patiently to all my talking! I’ve had a great time at Bardia!!!

Thank you and Namaste!

LOVED IT! Food and accommodations were great but time in the jungle rocked our world. The guide, Ganesh, did an awesome job. He was very informative about the wildlife and local culture and on the first day found us three tigers. The last of which was total skill on his part. So we will recommend Forest Hideaway and Ganesh to friends and family. Thank you and Namaste!

Many thanks to Mohan and his team for making us so welcome and comfortable in this beautiful, tranquil place. Lovely garden. A special big thank you to guides for sharing their knowledge –love of wildlife in this very special nature reserve. Saw lots of birds and animals including bull elephant, crocodiles, tigers each day, rhino and even very rare sight of  a huge python killing a deer. Lots of wonderful memories. Thank you all again.

Everyone here is so warm and welcoming. Being picked up at the bus stop at 4:00 am and returned three days later at 4:00 pm. Had a fantastic time celebrating holi (festival of colors) with guests and villagers. The guides were fantastic and our first day after a long patience we saw a tiger. Over all we saw 7 rhinos, many deers, monkeys, wild boar (unconfirmed), king cobra and lots ofamazing habitat.

Happy trails
